Green Schools
Green-Schools, known internationally as Eco-Schools, is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment.
Ballybay N.S. has participated in this programme since 2001 and has successfully achieved ten flags in total.
School Year 2023 – 2024
Ballybay N.S. has a proud tradition of participating in the Green Schools initiative.
Our Green Schools committee is made up of children from 3rd – 6th class, teacher representatives, Ms. Kelly, Ms. Connolly and Ms. Mulvey, as well as our school principal, Ms. O’ Toole and our caretaker John Fallon. Our class representatives are as follows – 3rd Class: Annie and Esme, 4th Class: Fionn and Seán, 5th Class: Keelan and Caoimhe, 6th Class A: Cullen and Judy and 6th Class B: Molly and Cian.
