With disappointment etched across his face, St Brigid's manager Anthony Cunningham said all he could in his post-match press conference. The game was a thriller. They did so much right. It wasn't enough.

The Roscommon champions suffered a second one point All-Ireland defeat in two years at Croke Park. St Brigid's led by two as the clock ticked into the final two minutes but a late burst from Tom O'Sullivan paved the way for Mikey Geaney's eventual winner. What can we say? We are so so proud of each and every one of those players on the St. Brigid's team especially all of our wonderful past pupils. You did yourselves proud and are winners in our eyes.

Here is a beautiful illustration from the pupils in Sixth Class entitled 'The Road to Croker' which captures the momentum and support that the children drummed up for the boys in green and red. Until next time…..
